Refund & Cancellation policy

Conditions of Sale

 

1) General

a) In order to make reservations using the payment method displayed on this website, you must be 16 years of age or over. By using this you confirm that you possess the legal authority to enter into the conditions of use for this site, including instructing us to collect any payments from a credit card, and to use this site in accordance with all these terms and conditions. You also confirm that all information supplied by you in using this site is true and accurate.

b) The contracting party for your journey are shown in the relevant Conditions of Carriage.

c) Tickets are sold through this web site for RedRocket branded services and for those of other selected operators. The specific terms and conditions of sale that apply to your journey are shown in the relevant Conditions of Carriage. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to accept the conditions. Where such a route allows tickets to be purchased on board, this will be done at the price set by the operator.

d) When you buy a ticket online at redrocketexpress.co.uk or at a self-service kiosk, you must check your journey itinerary thoroughly before making your payment. Strictly no refunds will be given for incorrect or duplicated journeys.

e) When you book a reservation in person from a travel centre or agent, you must check that you have been issued the correct ticket and that you have received the correct change.

f) When you book a reservation by phone, the agent will confirm the details of the booking back to you. You must check that you will be issued the correct ticket.

g) However you purchase your booking reservation, you must tell the agent about any apparent errors at that time. If you do not, we will only consider claims about any errors if you can show to our reasonable satisfaction that we made an error.

h) redrocketexpress has the right to cancel reservations (whether or not confirmed) of any customer whenever such action is necessary to comply with any governmental regulation, upon any governmental request for emergency transportation in connection with the national defense, or whenever such action is necessary or advisable by reason of weather or other conditions beyond megabus.com's control, including Force Majeure events.

i) Failure or delay by us to enforce an obligation or exercise a right under these terms and conditions does not constitute a waiver of that obligation or right.

 

2) Purchase of Tickets

a) All prices are quoted in Sterling (£)

b) Where two or more people are included on the same ticket or where one person purchases a ticket for another, the person purchasing the ticket shall be deemed to do so on the basis that he or she acts as agent for both or all the members of the travelling party and accepts these Terms of Sale and the relevant Conditions of Carriage on behalf of each member of the party.

c) There are no names attached to a ticket; the billing name may appear on the ticket but the purchaser does not have to be the person travelling.

d) All payment transactions are handled by Checkout.com, a secure payment processing provider. Your credit card and related personal details are collected by Checkout.com in order to process your payment. More details regarding Checkout’s terms and conditions and privacy and security policies can be found by visiting their website.

 

3) Validity and Use of Tickets

a) Tickets are only valid for the journey(s) you have booked. If you miss your service you will be permitted to travel on a later service at the driver's discretion. If you arrive early enough for another service you will not be permitted to travel on that earlier service. You must travel wholly between the origin and destination, on the date and at the time(s) on your ticket.

b) Reservation numbers or tickets cannot be resold to anyone else.

c) Concession and discount tickets are only valid with the relevant accompanying concession or discount card, which must belong to the passenger travelling.

d) If you fail in a material respect to comply with any condition that governs the use of a reservation, the staff or agents of the relevant company may withdraw the right to travel or charge a penalty fare as detailed in the relevant Conditions of Carriage.

 

4) Amendments

a) Only bookings made through the web site can be amended. Those not made through the website are non-amendable. This includes tickets bought in person at a ticket office or agent.

b) All amendments must be made online through the website under Manage Reservations.

c) For changes to an existing reservation a fee may apply.

d) Please note that prices may fluctuate between searches.

e) If you purchase more than one ticket for the same journey you will only be able to amend the group of tickets and you will not be able to amend the tickets individually.

f) Online and agent ticket sales mmay be eligible for refunds.You'll need to cancel your booking no later than 72 hours before your departure time to be able to get a refund. We may charge a cancellation fee of £1 per person travelling.

 

5) Refunds
a) If the bus you were booked to travel on is delayed or cancelled or there are insuffiient seats and as a consequence you reasonably decide not to travel, you may claim a refund if you return the ticket to either the office or agent where you bought it 

b)  If you have used the outward part of a return ticket we will refund the price paid for the return part of the journey.
c) In any case where we are obliged to provide a refund, we will only be obliged to give you that refund on the following conditions:-

  • You must make the refund claim: You must make your claim for a refund yourself and if asked you must provide reasonable proof of your identity and purchase. If you have a ticket which covers more than one person, the claim for a refund must be made by all of those persons at the same time. You are only entitled to a refund if you have paid the fare which is being refunded.
  • Where you must make the claim: If you cancel your journey at least 72 hours prior to the departure time shown on your ticket you may claim a refund from the office or agent who issued the ticket. If you make a claim after the departure time shown on your ticket or you are unable to contact the original issuing office you should write direct to the Red Rocket Express at the address shown on our website enclosing your ticket and an explanation as to why you could not use it.

(d) Time Limits: Your claim for a refund must be made no later than 28 days after the date on which your ticket is valid for travel.
(e) You must return your ticket: When making your claim for a refund, you must return your ticket to us no later than 28 days after you cancelled your ticket and made your claim for a refund. We will not be obliged to give you a refund until we have received your ticket.
(f) Refund charge: We may make an administrative charge of £1 per passenger (as such charge may be amended by us from time to time) for giving a refund and cancelling your ticket except if the refund was made because of a cancellation or withdrawal of a
service or covered by Special Conditions.
(g) Effect of refund: If we give you a refund, then your ticket will be cancelled, and we shall have no further obligation to carry you under that ticket.

(h) We reserve the right to send you vouchers covering the monetary value of any refund agreed which will be redeemable against the cost of future travel on our services.
